Spin Master - Freelance Product Designer & 3D Modeler

January 2024 - Present

Toronto, Ontario

  • Collaborating with toy companies, Gund, Primal Hatch, Tech Deck, and Paw Patrol, to create renders using 3D models and textures for product display stands for stores and trade shows, trade show booth displays, and shipping pallets.
  • Applying graphic design skills to produce 2D designs for packaging, concept logos, conceptual images, and advertisements for both print and digital distribution.
  • Producing soft-lined and plastic products for Jellykins in Blender and Zbrush to create realistic renders utilizing 3D modeled assets and textures.
  • Communicating with the Spin Master team on the tech pack creation by producing assets, while receiving constructive feedback and following up with revisions.

The Butcher Shop FX Studio - SPFX Shop Technician

  • Assisted with prosthetic creations in the shop by sculpting with clay to construct appliances, using latex and silicon to make the mold, and painting using an airbrush and acrylic latex to mimic realistic texture.
  • PTranslated concept design and notes to make real-life products such as creature designs, horror special effects (bruises, lacerations, body modification), and puppeteering.
  • Utilized hair punching skills to bring to life props such as arm hair on a severed arm, eyebrows and eyelashes on a severed head, and fur onto creatures' heads and bodies.
  • Designed patterns and sewed fur together with the help of the identification of the trim and fabric.
  • Assisted on-set application and touch-up duties for contracted productions with movie and TV show companies during production.
